Get the Look! Luxuriate in French Chic

This beautiful living space by designer Suzanne Schmitt is featured on HGTV.com.

It is easy to look past the modern construction of this home and imagine that you are in a 200 year old apartment in France.  The pot lights and air conditioning vent melt into the illusion of effortless romance and comfort.  The muted color palate remains lively with a bit of grounding black, while the wedgewood blue footrests ensure ample sitting and a powdering of relaxing color.  Formal, yet plush and comfortable, this is a space to sip tea and dream.

This amazing mirror from Layla Grace fits the bill perfectly.

As the focal point and most ornate feature of the room, it is worth the price at $693.  You can find a less expensive mirror if it doesn't fit in your budget.  If you have money for one splurge in the room, this should be it!

CRYSTAL ACCENTED COLUMN LAMP DISTRESSED WHITE SHABBYHere's a great deal on a table lamp!  Switch out the wicker shade for a standard one and you have a near-perfect match.  You could even leave it for extra texture in the room.  For only $15 at Amazon.com, how can you go wrong?

A rug grounds a room, and creates a connection to the other elements into a cohesive design.  This lovely blue lace pattern rug is from Posh Tots measures 7.9x9.9 and is made of wool and silk for the very reasonable price of $335.

Posh Tots to the rescue again.  They offer a plush glider, for $1395 and the tufted and tailored footstool for $435.  Personally, I love it in silver.

If you have your heart set on blue, they also offer an ottoman in custom fabrics.  For only $229, you can select your own fabric and a box pleat or ruffled skirt.
